Just an extra bit of information about max Classic
BT connections.
It is true that there can only be 7 active devices
in a piconet, but devices can get "parked." The
park address is 8 bits. Not sure how many
addresses are reserved, so 250+ devices can be
parked plus 7 active.
In order to communicate to a device, it is
unparked then is a fully active member of the
piconet. It can then be parked again if need be.
As a side note, parking is more power efficient
than sniff (not sure about sniff subrating).
I have never actually used parking so YMMV.
