On page 15 of the “Bluetooth Accessory Design
Guidelines for Apple Products” , Table 1-3 shows the expected format of
the AAC audio payload with further text
indicating the details of the data “…is defined in Section
1.7.3 Table 1.32 in ISO/IEC 13818-3:2005”
There is no version 2005 of ISO/IEC 13818-3, the latest is
1998, so I’m guessing there is some typo. What is the correct
document they are referencing? Is it the 1998 version of MPEG2 or do they
mean a 2005 version of MPEG 4?
I’m trying to make sense of the following 8 byte
header
|FC 00 00 B0 90 80 03 00|
which appears in each packet before the payloadLengthInfo( )
and MPEG2 data payload itself. The format doesn’t seem to match an
AudioMuxElement as defined by MPEG4 part 3.
Does anyone know the correct document or can anyone provide
the definition of that 8 byte header that I am seeing?
I am using an IPOD gen 4 with latest iOS6
Thanks,
