BTLE Security?

Hi. I'm trying to learn about BTLE security. Does the Apple API (and, if anyone knows, the Bluegiga BLE112) support "Out of Band" key exchange? Our device will have a passcode printed on a label; I'd like for them to enter that code into the iPad to authenticate.
