Hello developers,
I started to play around with iBeacon monitoring as illustrated in the AirLocate sample provided by Apple.
All the experiments are done using an iOS app acting as monitor and a real iBeacon based on a Bluegiga BLE112 setup.
I set the Beacon Region to a UUID, major and minor ID and enabled the notifications to be fired for it.
Entering a region works good, but exiting takes "ages". By ages, I mean about 35-40 seconds before I receive the notification.
First I was thinking, that my beacon has set an odd adv interval, but then I tried to use another iOS device running the AirLocate app to act as a beacon. This test gave me the same results. It takes about the same time to get the notification.
Has anyone encountered the same situation dealing with beacon monitoring?
