Will,

you have to use special methods in order to interact with LE devices.

Example:

https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/samplecode/HeartRateMonitor/Introduction/Intro.html

You can use the "retrieveConnectedPeripherals" method of the CBCentralManager in order to enumerate

connected LE peripherals.
