Hi,

yes I have seen similar behavior, where some devices I connect to are not detected all the time. This behavior is not constant, but it has proven to get worse as time goes by. The BT stack does not appear to be stable for a long time if you are using it a lot. Usually you only need to turn on and off BT, not restart the device. But it is still very annoying!

I’m using an iPad to control a 3D printer. The connection is done over BLE.
After running continuously for 5 to 10 hours, the iPad will loose connection. The software will try to reconnect to no avail. iPad will not detect any other BLE device, haven’t tried „old BT devices“.
Quitting and restarting the App doesn’t help. The iPad has to be shutdown and restarted. After that it will work for another 5-10 hours.
The BLE device has seemingly no influence on it. Resetting or switching it on/off does  make no difference and even if I leave it on and do nothing, it will connect and work perfectly with the restarted iPad.

iPad 4th Generation
iOS 7.1.

Has anybody encountered anything similar or does anybody use BLE continuously over long periods without prblems ?

It’s rather tedious to test, so any input would be appreciated.
