OSX caches the characteristics. I have not tried using service changed but can confirm that the cached value will remain in effect until you forget the device. The good thing about this is that connections are much faster when you don't need to go through service discovery.

This Could be related to service changed characteristic. You are supposed to notify if the characteristics change. If you remove bonding it should do as well.

I have a problem that I implemented a service with some characteristics on CC2540, I connected from OSX without problems before, read/write to the characteristics were fine.

Yesterday, I changed the characteristics, removed some and added new, but OSX still discovered the old characteristics list, thus, read/write were wrong.

Then I tried to change the MAC address on that chip, this time, it worked just fine. Then, I changed the MAC address back to the old one, it failed again.

How can I clear the caching on OSX so that it can report correct service and characteristics?
