It´s a known Bug in iOS 7.1. I´ve prepared a template:

Only restarting the device seems to help.

We're seeing an issue where iPods running iOS 7.1.1 will stop seeing beacons for 1 ~ 3 hours intermittently.

We have an iPad mini running iOS 7.0.4 which continues to see the beacons during the same time that the iPod doesn't see them. The iPad mini never stops seeing these beacons. We also continue to see the beacons during the "missing" time with TI's SmartRF Packet Sniffer.

We have these devices sitting in the same location next to each and within a few feet of a handful of beacons. Their sole purpose in life is to record every beacon advertisement they see. The devices don't lock their screens ever so the app is never getting backgrounded.The same app is is running on both devices. The beacons are also non-connectable .

Has anyone seen a similar issue where beacons drop out for a period of time and then begin to be picked up again?
