I've just finished a few days of being stuck in this problem too.
There are 2 things: Advertising interval and Connection interval of the peripheral.
Try to see in what interval your connection works (connection interval is the speed of packets transfer during connection)

In my case, connection interval was very low (1 sec). 
I reduced it to 100ms and the problem was gone.
