We have a system with 7 BLE devices as peripherals programmed to send characteristic update notifications at 10 Hz, with an iOS 9 device as central receiving them. We often see one or more of the peripherals' notification rates dropping to a much lesser frequency, down to maybe 1-3 or less Hz. The system is dependent upon the higher frequency, so we're trying to determine how to prevent the rate drop from occurring. We think that the drop is caused perhaps by iOS negotiating a longer connection interval or similar, and we're in the process of setting up a BLE packet sniffer to verify, and also setting up things on the peripheral side to indicate a newly negotiated rate. So far we haven't been able to correlate the rate drop to anything in particular. What can we do to ensure a higher characteristic update notification rate?
