BLE Slave latency change?
BLE Slave latency change?

Older versions of the bluetooth accessory design guidelines specified a maximum
slave latency of 4 for BLE devices. In the latest R8 revision of the
guidelines, this is 30. I’m not sure at what point it changed.
If I use 30 to save power (making sure that I meet the other requirements), do
I run the risk of my device being incompatible with older versions of iOS?
Background: we have data with a relatively quick update rate of 30 Hz, but we
don’t transmit new updates if the data isn’t changing. I’m using 15-30 ms
connection interval and would like to use the largest slave latency I can to
save battery power.
