BLE insecure mode

Hello,

I'm a student and I work in a project with IOS and arduino BLE.

I want connect my IOS with my arduino BLE in insecure mode (my app have a mac of BT), but I dont want know make this connection. I search some sites, but insecure connect is not recomended, why?
