Hi all
Is it correct that the PacketLogger and/or iOS drops the A2DP AAC audio data
when recording a trace via the Bluetooth debugging profile via USB-Lightning
Connector? If yes, is there a way to actually get the AAC data?
Longer explanation: our Bluetooth stack is sending the AVRCP SetAbsVolume
Command to the Jawbone Mini Jambox (a Bluetooth speaker) and also gets a
positive response, but the volume doesn't change. When iOS connects to it, we
can see similar SetAbsVolume Commands, but of course, volume works as expected.
When our stacks implements an A2DP Sink, iOS sends us the unmodified audio +
SetAbsVolume. To finally figure out what's going on, I wanted to extract the
audio data from the iOS trace to see if a) the audio signal is modified with
the current volume, or, b) it is send at full volume, but the SetAbsVolume
Command does what's expected from it.
Best regards
Matthias
