Thanks for your reply, Scott. Yes, I rebuilt the application after the
settings were changed, but at first it did not change anything, I was
still getting .???? files. That is why it was so frustrating. But
funny, I Quit PB (for the day) and restarted when I got your email this
morning, and now it builds just fine.
So I tried this experiment - I went back to the target Application
Settings again and changed the settings back to ????, rebuilt, and guess
what? It still wanted to open RTF files and save RTF files. That is,
until I quit PB and launched it again, at which time it went back to
"handling" ???? files. :-) BTW since I am new, maybe I am rebuilding
wrong? I first went to target Application Settings, changed the file
handlers, clicked change, then clicked the hammer icon (I assumed this
was build). (Now) I even tried selecting Build from the menu, and it
still does not update the document type settings.
Might be a bug, I am guessing.
