Hi!

I am writing an app that has one main window with a pop menu and a NSBox that gets its contents from different .nibs depending on the popups state/tag. This worked fine until I added some text fields, forms etc. to the first (default) View, after which I get a runtime error when switching that looks a bit awkward to me.

*** Assertion failure in -[NSFlippableView lockFocus]
*** Exception lockFocus sent to a view whose window is deferred and does not yet have a corresponding platform window raised during heart beat. Ignoring ...

now wtf is:
a deferred window?
a heart beat (in this context?)?
a platform window?

and, since I already am on that subject: what do the choices in IB for windows mean: deferred, retained, one shot, etc.?

Thanx,

Dan
