I wanted the same for one of my windows as I find the ghosted inactive traffic lights messy. Try using a Panel window in IB and set the attribute for option "Utility Window (Panel Only)" - if you have the traffic light controls off they will be completely hidden.

Is there a way to get rid of some or all of the close/minimize/zoom buttons
on Cocoa windows? I have several windows which I'd like to have no buttons
at all (e.g. dialog boxes - and no, I can't use sheets instead), and others
which would look a lot nicer with just a close button (e.g. floating
toolkits).
