Reading compiled applescript from file

  • Subject: Reading compiled applescript from file

Is there a Cocoa way to read a compiled applescript from a ".scpt" (OS X compiled applescript) file? If not, I'd settle for a Carbon way. I know that the GetResource function can read "scpt" type resources from the resource forks of files, but as far as I understand, the compiled applescript in a ".scpt" file is stored in the data fork for.

Thanks,
Neal
