saving tables and user defined strings

  • Subject: saving tables and user defined strings

Hello all,

I have created an NSTableView app with some parsed
info from files. Two problems:

1) The file paths are hardcoded into the program. The
user should define them. In C++, you could cout <<
"Enter file name" (and then cin) >> a string.
(of course in a PC cousel environment)
How does one accomplish this in cocoa? NSTextView
perhaps? How do you implement it?

2) I would like to be able to save the created table.
How does one implement the "save" functionality in
the applictaion bar?

I apologize for the newbie quesitons, but aren't we
all newbies at some point?

Thanks again,

Mark
