Cocoa calling CFPlugin (newbie question)

Hi,

I come with a Windows Driver development background and am trying to make
the transition to Mac OS development.

I have a device which is provided to our customers and need to provide an
API for that device, the simplest method for all that I can see is to
provide a CFPlugin which is then called by the app to gain access to the
device.

I can build the CFPlugin using C/C++ but what I can't work out is how to
load the plugin in a Cocoa App.

How do I do this?

BTW, I may need to provide a plugin that can be used by both Carbon and
Cocoa apps, a simple example of these items would be helpful.
