I hardly take offense at things that Ondra says. In fact, he tends to be
really helpful in pushing my nose down the correct path to go on many
issues. He helps me a lot in private emails and I find him to be really
knowledgable.
But beyond that, RTFM comments dont bother me really. However, let's make an
assumption here that some people do RTFM and still dont UNDERSTAND-TFM. What
is obvious to some is not to others.
And i do agree, me providing a hack to another person is probably not the
best way to solve a problem. In fact, I removed the hack from my program and
finally got the menu validation function working. I had tried that before,
but it had never worked. For some reason, it works when i use a NSMenu, but
when i subclass NSMenu, it stops working, no matter how i implement it. Such
things tend to frustrate newbies like myself, so we create bad hacks. So a
little nose slap from Ondra is good. It pointed me back to the right
direction.

ps> I am happy tho that my hack worked!
