TIFF can contain more different sizes easily (and much more flexibly,

particular TIFF can, should its maker want to, contain any number of

not just a predefined list); its alpha is much more flexible and
convenient
than the ICNS masks. Have I missed anything?
Yes: ICNS can be read by Mac OS 9's Finder.
