Greetings all!
I am very proud to announce the release of the Developer Preview of
InstallAnywhere 4.5, the premier tool for multi-platform Java software
deployment!
Thanks for all your help during the period of my first stumbling steps in
the world of Objective-C and Cocoa! The results are in the product!
Notable new features include full Mac OS X support (including integration
with the Aqua interface and the ability to install aliases to the Dock! --
as always, Mac OS 8.1 - 9.x is supported as well); on-the-fly creation of
native launchers for Java apps (MRJAppBuilder-derivative launchers on Mac OS
and Mac OS X); support for Mac-native multiple fork files (courtesy of the
excellent MacBinary Toolkit for Java

The Developer Preview is of our Enterprise Edition (with access to all our
features), but we will also be releasing a free NOW! Edition when we ship
the final. And for all of you shipping Shareware/Freeware/Open Source
projects, we should have some pleasant announcements coming soon. Hope you
will take a look.
We think you will find InstallAnywhere to be the best way to ship Java and
native apps on Mac OS X (at least that's the plan). In any case, we would
love to hear your feedback, so feel free to email me me directly if you have
any questions or comments.
Note: for best results, you will need at least DP/2 release of Java for Mac
OS X when running the designer. Installers created with InstallAnywhere 4.5
will run on all versions of Mac OS X starting with 10.0.
