In the last few months, I've noticed Cocoa API's that require knowledge of a
large number (maybe all) of C's more obscure features. So my view is that,
if you want to be able to make use of Cocoa's full range of APIs, yes, you
must know C. K&R (2d edition) is good for that, in part because it is an
easy and definitive lookup reference.
