I havent used them for cursor icons but yea Photoshop works fine for TIFs with alpha. However, I do get warnings from NSImage if I use them directly (can't remember the error but it's kind'a 'some RGB block of data is not quite what I was expecting'). The code still works correctly even with this error but if you load your Photoshop TIF into Preview and then just save from there it appears to clean up the TIFF into being NSImage friendly.

Regards,
Gary

No I haven't tried the TIFF with alpha. Is there an OSX utility to generate
this type of file ? I have Photoshop but I don't think it can do alpha
channels when saving as Tiff.
