Yes, I found a patch somewhere. It basically copied the Australian printer settings (uses English and A4) over to the US settings.

Terminal commands:

cd /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/PrintCore.
framework/Resources/
sudo cp en_AU.lproj/Localizable.strings English.lproj/Localizable.strings
