My statement was made from my experience of both industries. I have worked
on banking systems that handle millions of accounts and I have colleagues
who developed systems for Airbus and Boeing. From our combined knowlege -
and based on our experience (your mileage may vary) - we concluded that the
design of some of the more sophisticated aircraft systems was more complex
and involved more classes than that of a bank. My comment was somewhat off
the cuff and a bit subjective perhaps but then the precedence had already
been set.

I'm not going to devote any more of my time to this flame war (which
admittedly I started). My closing comment would be that we shouldn't trash
someone's design just because it uses 150 classes when we have absolutely no
idea what it is they're trying to do.
