Apple has just released the updated Cocoa documentation that will be
available in the December Developer Tools release. Updated documentation
is available on the ADC website from the Cocoa home page:
http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/macosx/Cocoa/CocoaTopics.html
This release includes many small changes (too numerous to list), as well
as a substantial reorganization of material. Specifically, it addresses
over 700 method and function descriptions that previously read
"description forthcoming". In addition, substantial amounts of
conceptual material that used to be in individual class descriptions
have been moved into the Programming Topics hierarchy. These conceptual
pieces were checked for accuracy and got small rewrites to improve their
flow in the new context. All of the concepts are still accessible from
the class spec sheets themselves, by following links to the specific
relevant topics for that class. These links appear in the class
description.
We hope and expect that this organization will be easier for newcomers
and experienced programmers alike to use. In coming months we will be
completing the reference documentation, as well as working on specific
topic areas to improve the conceptual and task information provided for
them. As major rewrites are completed, we will post them to the Cocoa
What's New page, at:

If you have feedback about the organization of the material, or key
areas that are currently unclear or where lack of documentation is
impeding your development efforts, please feel free to send me email
directly.
