Have they improved the API's for Drag and Drop to include some kind of
ability to get the path where the user dropped a file if they dragged it
to a folder in the Finder?
How about the ability to convert from NSFileWrapper to something the
Finder can understand?

There is definitely more work to do. For drag and drop documentation,
please take a look at the spec sheets for NSDraggingSource,
NSDraggingInfo, and NSDraggingDestination. These spec sheets are
referenced from the Drag and Drop topic, and contain substantial
documentation on how to set up drag and drop. This is an example of the
handful of spec sheets we did not have time to address for this
release. (Specifically, 18 spec sheets in AppKit were not addressed.)
NSStatusItem is known and will be addressed for the next release. As
mentioned in my original announcement, there are more incomplete
references to address, and we intend to substantially improve the
conceptual material. However, we hope that what we have provided with
this release is helpful.

First one I looked for was Drag and Drop. Still says "work in

whatever :-(
Same for NSStatusItem.
