OT: no more breakpoints in PB-gdb

  • Subject: OT: no more breakpoints in PB-gdb
  • From: Andrea Perego <email@hidden>

Sorry for this OT request, that would be better placed in the PB-users list:
but I've already searched its archive without finding anything useful and
I'd prefer not to become a subscriber yet, at least just for a single question. Maybe some of you faced my actual conundrum before and might help me without straying to far from her/his line of work...

Anyway, if you think that this message is totally OT, feel free to skip it!

The fact is that, abruptly, I'm no more able to use gdb's breakpoints for a project: whenever I start a debug session, gdb, after the usual identification/disclaimer header, sends this message:

Disabling shared library breakpoints: 1 2 [.....]

while the corresponding breakpoints are listed as active (checked) in the sidebar list. Of course, no stopping occurs.

I tried to re-enable breakpoints manually by pausing execution and issuing the
"enable" command, but, as soon as execution restarts (continue), I get the message:

Temporarily disabling shared library breakpoints: .....

Other projects do not show this behavior.

TIA (with the promise that I'll subscribe to PB-users list the next time!)
