Project Builder (dec tools) no longer shows Syntax errors?

Hi,
I downloaded the new (december 2001) dev tool last week and didn't happen to do any actual coding with ProjBuilder 'til this morning.

It seems to no longer explain why syntax checking failed. It just states that it did fail. I assume this is not the expected behaviour!

Only once I attempt to build do I get the Red error text in the Build pane.

Does anyone else suffer from this?

(Pismo 500, Build 5M28 (10.1.1))
