Working with Unicode

Hi,

I want to iterate over a NSMutableString and remove invisible characters.
After taking a look at the documentation for NSMutableString and NSString
looks like I should do things the proper way with unicode. Up till this
point I've only worked with ASCII. So does anyone know of any resources for
using unicode?

I'm guessing I'm going to use getCharacter but then what do I do with the
unicode? How do I find out if it is a space, return or invisible character?
