I think it's been said over and over, but I'll add my $0.02 (to what is
by now a small fortune): Buy "Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X" by Aaron
Hillegass.
This book is phenomenally good. I *really* wish it had been available
when I started with Cocoa. I think it is probably the best API-specific
programming book I've ever read.
It doesn't "thoroughly explain all of the Cocoa API set" (that would
make for a pretty huge book), but it does offer very concise,
illustrative code examples.
The only "flaw" in the book is that it is essentially an introductory
book (although it goes much farther, with much less reading, than
"Learning Cocoa"). If you are already relatively familiar with Cocoa,
then you'll have covered a lot of the book's territory already. Still, I
found it worth reading (partly because Hillegass's style is extremely
readable).
I'd *really* be excited about an "Advanced Cocoa Programming" book from
this guy...

Hello fellow Cocoa programmers,
I'm going to purchase another Cocoa book, though I'm not sure which one
it should be. I already have "Mac OS X Developer's Guide." For the
second I'm looking for a book that is Cocoa-specific and thoroughly
explains all of the Cocoa API set. I don't need big examples, just code
snippets for syntax clarification, etc.
I know this is pretty specific, but does anyone have a suggestion as to
which book I should purchase? Thanks for your input.
