Hi,
I've been working on my own front end for MySQL, written in Cocoa, called CocoaSQL. It uses JDBC and the java-cocoa bridge to connect to mysql. Its not finished yet, but check it, and the code out at:
http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=10887&db=macosx
I'm thinking about using some code from it to create Cocoa wrappers for JDBC drivers. Also, if I see interest, i might put the whole thing on source forge to make code contribution easier.

Time to be honest: My expertise is actually in VisualBasic and FoxPro, only a couple of small apps in C++. All my work has been database-centric.

Now that I've been in the Mac platform for a couple of years, I want to write some database apps!

I have MySQL running on OSX.

I'm familiar enough with Cocoa to carry on a simple conversation.

Now, can someone point me to where I can get sample code or direction on how to connect to a MySQL database from a Cocoa app?

I know you are all the gurus and can do this in your sleep. Please impart to me some of your hard earned wisdom.

I am not worthy,

Carla
