Hi,
Does Cocoa call into Carbon at all? Apologies if this has been
asked before. One of the main reasons I'm asking is that if
Carbon is not yet re-entrant (wasn't this a goal as early as the
Pink project? Puzzling reality to me...), and Cocoa calls it,
does that not mean that Cocoa is therefore not re-entrant
to a degree?
Wish I knew what Apple's master plan was. Cocoa is neat,
and indeed gives you a lot, but it doesn't seem as cool as
programming for the Mac should be in many ways.
Also, noticed that if I create an AppleScript studio app
(with document), and built it without adding any code
or doing anything in IB, sometimes it builds ~ 56k or
so, and sometimes builds just under 1mb... With no
differences I can notice. I've noticed this in a simple
AppleScript Studio app I'm buildling and the only way
I can find to (usually) fix the problems is to nuke the
"build" directory altogether and rebuild; usually makes
this problem go away. Maybe it's just a bug in the Finder's
calculation of the ".app" bundle/directory? Anyone
else seen this?
Thanks,
Steve
