Thanks to those who replied.
The problem did come from my code. I found there was an [window
setAutodisplay:NO] invoked somewhere later in the code, and *that*
caused the titlebar and some other controls to not be correctly drawn...
I did not remember using that; it was probably a workaround for the
earlier DPx ;-)

BTW, are there other people on this list using multiple windows for a
single document in a doc-based app (I mean doc-window, added to
NSDocument's window controllers and not inspector-like panel) ?
Yes I did in the "Commandant project", and didn't have any problem.
Each document has a text window and any number of graphics windows. See
the link below for the code.
