I think I just basically followed the outline of the method as given in the NSDocumentController docs. I really think that most of the problems that people want to solve by having access to the source could be solved by just having good documentation, and being able to trust that what the docs say is actually true. Some of the docs still have info from back in the NeXT days that is either incorrect or irrelevant at this point.
