How do I turn off the spinning multi-colored cursor? I don't want to

But why not? The user is entitled to good user interface
feedback. Turning the wait cursor off seems like a bad idea.
Any way to shut it off?
I haven't checked lately, but back when a Display Postscript
window server ruled, it controlled the wait cursor
automatically! After a certain period of unresponsiveness (3
seconds?) of the thread that communicates with the window
server, the window server changed the cursor to the wait
cursor, No need for the programmer to have to deal with this in
code as under Windows (and probably Mac OS). This is a great
feature that probably can't be shut off.
