Is there a way to play with the desktop pictures with cocoa

In fact, I am trying to dynamically change it by pressing a button (for
example) but I can not find any function in the cocoa API that could
handle it.
thanks for the answers and I am sorry if the topic has already been
discussed
It was discussed and the general consensus was that you should wait
until it's implemented in the API, but it isn't at the moment. It was
suggested that you could modify the Finder's defaults database (where
the location of the desktop picture is stored) and restart the Finder,
but this is just too evil, and here was the definitive answer from an
Apple employee:
Please don't [modify defaults and force quit the finder]. An
enhancement request
was filed before the GM release
and we should have a solution soon that won't require quitting or
restarting
the finder to get the updated desktop picture. I'll post the solution
to the
list as soon as I can. TIA.
