Personally,
I find a lot of the debate rather informative and not at all intrusive
on the main purpose of the list. I know a lot of this info would've been
helpful for me back when I was a Cocoa newbie (actually, I still am).
However, I understand and respect people's opinions regarding the posting of
off-topic messages, and I think that long-winded arguments not related to
the primary topic at hand should be taken off-list. But let's not forget the
budding Cocoa programmer for whom occasional debate might serve a worthwhile
purpose.
