Well, I'm disappointed that Select members will not get to see the WWDC sessions from
this year on ADC-TV without ponying up more money.
I originally signed up for Select last year (after receiving the developer's mailings
for years at $200/yr) because there was a discount that month, and OS X beta was coming
out. I wasn't sure if OS X tools would be avaible via the developer mailing, and I
wanted to insure I would get them. As it turned out, I would have got them in the
developer mailing anyway.
However, there were two other aspects to the Select membership that made it seem
worthwhile to me: the access to the seed program and the ADC-TV WWDC sessions. Now
they've dropped the latter; the former seems less appealing since I found out that the
Premier members get seeds that the Select members do not.
Gee, I hope they change their minds about the WWDC sessions for Select members. If not,
in a few months I might just drop back to the developer mailings. Looks to me like
Apple should either beef up the Select program or just drop it.
(Sorry, this turned out to be rather off-topic for Cocoa-Dev).
