And we also need to delete the class files for NIAccess and NIInterface. These are both known issues. But the fact that the frameworks show up in /System/Library/**PRIVATE**Frameworks should have given a pretty good hint that they are private.

I was perfectly aware that they were private. It just appeared strange to me.

I would also like to point out that I have filed bugs, and I have looked at it myself (the source, I mean), and that I have indeed written an Objective-C wrapper for it. There we are, happy now?

The current shape of the Darwin system and the length of time it takes for patches to get committed has put me off familiarizing myself with the source enough to find out what's going on. Also, it didn't look to me like AuthorizationTrampoline was open, but then I didn't look terribly hard.

Also, it seems like Apple is moving away from having just NetInfo as the directory system, and authentication of LDAP is also supported, and I guess this can only be accomplished with Security.framework.

I apologise for the general tone of my last e-mail, I am aware that it's still a very young technology (under a year, I guess), but I was venting my frustration, and it didn't sound like anybody at Apple was listening. Your points were insightful nonetheless.

Thanks,

-- Finlay
