I think that the answer to this might be in the darwin mailing list
archives. Here's a relevant recent quote (from 7/24 on this very
list):
If you mean the Obj-C++ compiler and its status in OS X, I think
it's coming in 10.1, and there has been some discussion of it on
darwin-development (searchable archives available at
http://www.darwinfo.org/)
A quick search of the archives reveals that the projected (rumored,
until I hear it from Stan Shebs) release is along with 10.1. Keep
an eye on the Darwin CVS in September.
