Sheet is "stopping" my thread...

Okay, this is very weird. I added a sheet yesterday evening (last thing
of the day, of course) and when I went to look at it again today I
discovered that although the sheet was appearing correctly, a background
task that normally runs and spits out NSLog messages appears to stop
(yes, I know, use the debugger, but I need to do some logging of a
device).
So, is the problem that NSLog doesn't do anything while the sheet is up,
or is there an issue with the sheet and threads? I thought I remembered
seeing something about this in the list messages, but I haven't seen
it/missed finding it. Any assistance would be appreciated!
