TIFF's w/ alpha channels

Hi all,

I'm trying to use NSImageView to render a TIFF with an alpha mask.

Q1: Does Cocoa/MacosX support alpha masks in TIFF's?
Q2: Does anyone have suggestions for applications that support creating
TIFF's with alpha masks?
