Apple probably shouldn't provide this information because:
They are unsupported changes that would appear to be officially endorsed if Apple provided the information directly to us.
Apple doesn't need to provide this information because:
Much information pertaining to interface customization is already on the Internet, you just have to look. Besides, what fun is it if the hunt for this information is short-circuited by extensive documentation? : )
