Recording and Playing Sound

Hello,

Does anyone have or know where I can find examples of recording and playing back sound in Cocoa?
I looked on Apples NSSound doc but being fairly new to Cocoa I'm not sure how to apply this stuff or if its even what I need. Specifically I would like to make a simple 2 track recorder where I could record one track and then play it back while recording a second track on top of the first. Any info is greatly appreciated.
