Okay, I feel we're getting close to an answer here. Let's say that I
want to have several charts open, each one tracking a different event;
if I understand what you're saying, a plain Cocoa App template is the
way to go as long as the user does nothing with these charts other than
look at them. Or tell them to go away! But if I were to allow the user
to say change the scaling of the charts, then I'd want to use the full
Cocoa Document template? Is that right? My question here is based on
your term "work with," which I take to mean "make some change to," as
opposed to merely gawking at. A further wrinkle is that even if the
user does make a change in the chart such as resetting the scaling, the
chart is NOT going to be saved when the user is finished eyeballing it.
