Hello all. We're pulling our hair out over here trying to work with
frame interrupts on OS9 and OSX.
In OS9, one can sync drawing to frame interrupts on a single-task,
single-processor system. When one moves to MP/Threads, frame interrupts
are discarded, and can't be passed to the drawing engine (OpenGL, for
example).
Do these limitations exist on OSX? Can I sync CG or OpenGL drawing calls
to frame interrupts, or are they ignored by the kernel since it's
inherently (dynamically) MP/Thread aware? How can I access them in a
fairly straight-forward manner? I'd rather have a BSD or Cocoa API (as
if wishes make the world go round) since I don't know how well the
Carbon display manager works with cocoa apps.
L'il help?
