Okay, another question that doesn't seem very obvious to me: why does the numberOfRowsInTableView message get sent PRIOR to awakeFromNib - i.e. where is a good place to initialize data?

Here are my reasons for confusion: in Oreilly's "Learning Cocoa", they do initialization in awakeFromNib. However, a quick and dirty test seems to indicate that numberOfRowsInTableView gets sent PRIOR to this.
