Thanks to Chris and Chris.

I forgot to set the identifier of the coloumns of the TableView in InterfaceBuilder.
So the middle of the string (from [identifier capitalizedString] was indeed nil.
The problem was to backtrace with my slow brain. I already had hitted return as this came to my mind. Must be a special "get it only after asking a dumb question" circuit :-)
